*2009*

I have to say, 2009 has me a bit worried, a bit scared, a bit... well, ill at ease.

So far, 2009 is off to a rough start for me...
I've been in a minor fender bender and have heard just a lot of sad news this first week of the year. I won't go into details because I don't want to be a total downer, but have any of you had a rough start to the New Year?

Here's a funny video to cheer me up and anyone else out there having a rough start to 2009...

Wishing you all a happy, healthy, and prosperous New Year!!!

Ah, Sheri, I'm sorry you've had a rough start. But at least you have the whole glorious year ahead.
After all, tomorrow is another day.
OR
Today is the tomorrow we worried about yesterday.

I'm sorry that you're having such a rough beginning. But PJ's right, you have a whole year with the potential for improvement and awesomeness.

Aw, I hope that things get better for you soon! Think of it this way: you're getting through all the rough stuff here at the beginning of the year and things will only go up from here!

New Years is a really bad time for me. I lost my mother on New Years day when I was 9, and four years ago I got some really bad medical news at this time, which I've since completely turned around and am now living a much happier (and healthier) lifestyle.

But, yeah, New Years is a sucky, depressing time for me remembering all that has happened.

All I can say is, pick something to look forward to that will happen later in the year. Like a vacation or happy family event . . . and then focus on that thing to get you through. Works for me! :)

Thank you for sharing that, Sheri! I had some disturbing news just this morning, and it felt good to laugh. I think that's why God gave us animals. Aren't they the most wonderful stress relievers? I almost wet my pants over the the goat that butts the dog when he tries to steal his food. That was great. Hang in there, and know that you have lots of friends and are loved today!

Thanks EVERYONE! All your well wishes made me feel some serious bloggy love and I feel better already!

But David... your story made me so sad. Your mom (AND your brother died) when you were so young! That is truly sad. But your advice is well taken - focus on a happy future event... Will do.

But again, thanks everyone. It is so nice to know teh blogosphere is always a soft place to fall.

oh and check out my word verification word I got... hummur. I know it's obvisouly not spelled correctly, but seems even the Blogosphere god is saying with a little humor life can be managed!
